This fun event is open to all rising 9th graders, current Pope HS students, and recent graduates.  We will be producing an entire play (about 30 minutes) in 24 hours including lights, sound, costumes, etc.  Bring your friends for a exciting day full of adrenaline and theatre.

EVERYBODY will be in the show.  No one will be cut. Auditions & the questions on the form above are to help us place you - tech or performance. We will need 4 production teams (Directors, SMs, Costumes, etc.) and up to 22 actors.

Audition Date: July 24, 2:00p - 4:00p

        1 monologue (comedic or dramatic); Total audition should be 2 minutes or less. Need a monologue? Try these.

Rehearsal: July 25, 7a-6p

Performance: July 25, 7p

Strike: July 25 immediately after the performance. EVERYONE must help. (EVERYTHING must be put away and cleared out of the PAC.)

Synopsis

Two hapless security guards must investigate who destroyed the art gallery's prize sculpture - but every suspect caused mayhem that day, from would-be art thieves and confused tourists, to fumbling custodians and fiendish pranksters. Whodunnit? The better question is, who didn't? And can the guards come up with a really good excuse before the artist comes back?

A absurdly hilariously one-act comedy.

O’KEEFFE: either, a security guard. Always a bit disheveled, an optimist.
HOPPER: either, a security guard. Likes things just so, a pessimist.
GODFREY NAMELESS: the bad boy of the art world.
MICHAELA CARMICHAEL-MICHAELS: female, the biggest art critic in the city.

STICK: either, An art thief
BRICK: either, An art thief
BONES: either, Their leader

RORY: female, A janitor at Rogues’ Gallery. Goofy, wears their heart on their sleeve.
QUINN: male, A curator at Rogues’ Gallery. Cool, collected and professional.

CORAL: female, Art gallery intern
ANG: either, Godfrey Nameless's assistant
DARA: female, Art gallery intern
PRANKSY: either, famous avante-guarde artist

GEORGIA: Female, Art-loving girlfriend.
JAKE: male, bored boyfriend.
CLEM: female, art podcaster.
JANICE: female, Art podcaster

CUSTODIAN: either, just wants to talk about Hamlet
GËBRICHT VON SHËPHÉÛR: either, Art expert

SIMONE (or SIMON) VANDELAY: either, Zero scruples, wildly insecure.
NAT SHEPHERD: female, An artist who is uncertain of her way. 
JACKIE: female, A cheerful, very literal soul who works for a delivery company.
